Download Youtube Videos Using Safari On Mac OSX Leopard
Written by piju on December 12, 2008 – 11:23 pm -I know, there is lots of Mac OSX third party software for downloading Youtube videos and web-based downloader. But i still prefer to do it this way.
1) Open your favorite Youtube video using Safari
2) While its being loaded, open Window > Activity and find url that contains “get_video” ( Most of the files found in a YouTube page are small files while most FLV files are several megabytes )
3) Now, click on it. Safari will automatically download it.
4) And rename it to my_video.flv
Done.
Now u can play that video using your favorite free player such as Mplayer or VLC.
